NAU

There has been some talk lately about a "North American Union", something similar to the EU, involving Canada, United States, and Mexico. The Republicans and the Christian "Right" of course are making it sound like a very bad thing; they are saying that we would lose our identity as a sovereign nation. I disagree. Have the various countries that comprise the EU lost their individual identities? NO. So what makes them think it will happen to us??? I would love to see this happen as long as they can adopt Canada's Health Care system for the entire NAU.

I also would like to see each continent do the same thing. Then I can see after a couple of generations the continent unions finally coming together and having a United Earth Government similar to Gene Roddenberry's dream.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

Got a rather rude awakening yesterday morning when my brother informed me that he was moving back to Annistan the next day (now today). I can't believe that he is giving up yet again. This will the 3rd time he has tried to move out on his own and gone running back as soon as things started getting a little rough.

But I also have some joyous news as well... I GOT MY BLAZER BACK!!!!! That's right, he has come to the realization that breaking up with me was the worst mistake he ever made and is coming back to me. I can't wait for him to get here either. I'm SO going to go all Elmira (tiny toons) on him when he gets back too. :))

OMG, I totally forgot that I even had this blog ::BLUSH::
oh well, I now have it converted over to my gmail account, so maybe I won't forget about it again. :) I'll try to post something more substantial later.
